Learn to use Zoom

Zoom is a video chatting service which allows users to chat both one-on-one and in groups.

All you need is  an Internet Connection and a Mobile device equiped with a microphone and camera (laptop, smartphone, iPad, tablet)

 

Computerised Bookkeeping

The IAB Level 1 Award in Computerised Bookkeeping qualification is aimed at learners who wish to begin their studies of computerised accounting and gain entry to a Level 1 qualification. There are no formal entry requirements. However, it is important that learners have good basic skills in numeracy and literacy. You will also need to be computer-literate, with the ability to move around a computer screen with confidence.

Computerised Payroll

Course duration: 13 x 2 hour classes (1 week = 2 sessions)

Aims
The Level 1 Award for Payroll in Business qualification aims to provide learners with a comprehensive range of knowledge and the practical skills that they will be able to use as a payroll processor for a variety of businesses.

This course is ideally suited to those who are new to using a Smartphone.

ESOL Entry 3 Speaking & Listening

Course Duration:    3 hours x 2 days per week for 24 weeks 

Entry Requirements:  Must complete an initial assessment and have passed Entry 2

• Correct pronunciation
• Contribute to discussions

Essential Skills - Numeracy / Application of Number

Course Duration:    2 hours x 1 day a week for 24 weeks

Entry Requirements:  No qualifications needed, especially aimed at those who do not have GCSE Maths

Course Summary:  The aim is to improve learners’ ability to understand, calculate, manipulate and interpret mathematical information. 

Three elements are covered:

  • Number
  • Measure, Shape and Space
  • Handling data

Course Details:   This course is designed to support learners who wish to improve their Mathematical skills.  The Course follows the National Curriculum for Essential Skills at Entry Level and Level 1.

This is a fun and uplifting sewing class suitable for beginners and/or those with experience.

You will create something that you can take home.

There are sewing machines available but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

Introduction to Calligraphy

This course is aimed at people interested in learning and developing skills and techniques to communicate visually. Throughout the course, you will learn about some of the key skills involved in being a calligrapher.

Entry Requirements: None. This course is suitable for beginners. Sessions are a mixture of tutor-led talks, demonstrations, and practically learning calligraphy techniques. The course is about learning the basics from perfecting drills to learning alphabets and letter formation as well as how to connect letters the correct way to form words. Attendees can expect to create their own calligraphy project, perfecting their lettering and layout styles and exploring various calligraphy methods and materials.
